How We Choose and Compare Power Stations
A power station should fit the job you need it to do. Big Prepping compares products by capacity, continuous output, portability, charging options, compatibility, and total setup cost.
Research and testing are different
Our current BLUETTI Elite 200 V2 and Jackery HomePower 2000 Plus v2 guides are based on manufacturer information. We have not presented them as hands-on tests. A manufacturer runtime claim is not a result measured by Big Prepping.
Where we publish hands-on results, we will identify the exact model, connected load, settings, and test conditions. Calculated runtime examples are labeled as estimates.
What makes a useful recommendation?
We explain who a product may suit and when a smaller unit or different setup could be a better choice. Extra batteries, solar panels, cables, and installation can change the overall cost. A large commission or a large wattage number is not enough to establish a good fit.
Affiliate relationships
Big Prepping participates in the Jackery and BLUETTI affiliate programs through Awin. Qualifying purchases through our links may earn us a commission. This focused selection does not cover the entire market.
Keeping information useful
Specifications can differ between similarly named models. We link to the manufacturer sources and identify the models being compared. Prices, bundles, and availability should be checked with the retailer before ordering.
